Seaward is delighted to be supporting a new Michael Frith exhibition in Chichester.
Located in the Chapel Street Studio at 26 Chapel Street, Chichester PO19 1DL the exhibition runs from 3 – 7 July, 11.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The exhibition displays paintings and prints by Michael with the subjects including portraiture, food, horses and maritime.ย Some of the original illustrations from the recently published River Cottage A – Z of Ingredients by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall are on display, along with a stunning portrait of the late Pete Postlethwaite.
One room of the exhibition is dedicated to the Frith & Mort Art and Fashion Collaboration.ย Jenny Mort is a fashion designer who uses Michael’s equine and maritime prints on a range of clothing including jackets, t-shirts and scarves.ย ย The jackets are lined with images of horses or boats and would certainly cut a dash at the races or the yacht club!
One particular jacket which catches the eye is the Liberation Jacket which includes labeled interior pockets for every requirement – wallet, cards, notebook, phone etc.ย There is even a pocket on the sleeve for an Oyster card!
